We actually had a short day...

We had our breakfast meeting at 8:00am and then walked to GCS at 8:55am. We had VBS with two different classes today - 4yr olds and 4yr olds. Dorian read the synopsis of the Bible Story to the children and I read Genesis 45:1-28 (Joseph recognizes his brothers) as well as Genesis 2:7-8 (God's creation of Adam) and 15-24 (God's admonition to Adam and His creation of Eve) in Romanian. The children understood the story and even answered question. During this time Haley, Aaron and Abbey had music time. Next Haley and I did crafts with one group while Abbey, Aaron and Dorian had recreation time with the children. All children were able to participate in all four stations for approximately 40 minutes.
We enjoyed lunch at GCS with the children around 12:00pm.
By 1:30pm we were heading to the placement centers. I am currently engaged in conversation with a young man that is definitely seeking , but is currently claiming to be of the Orthodox religion. I met him last year and he had many questions then and even more now. I asked him to read 1st John tonight and said that we can discuss it tomorrow. I also was able to reconnect with a young woman who made a profession of faith in June 2009, after several days of intense conversation and searching of the scriptures. She needs to be discipled and I plan on doing that with her and the other young people there at PC3/4 that are interested.
At 4:30pm we headed over to Betel Church in Resita. We sang three songs ("Mighty to Save", "Here I Am to Worship" and "I'm Trading My Sorrow"). Abbey and I both provided testimonies. She spoke on how the young people of this generation are in search of instant gratification and how many look for satisfaction in the wrong places, with the wrong people/person and for the wrong reasons as well as what the consequences of their attitudes and actions will be. Very astute observation and much wisdom displayed by such a young woman. Dorian also shared a testimony and preached on the power of sincere prayer. It was a wonderful message. We broke bread and fellowshipped at Betel, then realized it was snowing and thought we should return early since we had to travel on the highway of many twists and turns through various changes of elevation.
We actually had a short day, as we arrived at the Hotel Dacia at 9:47pm.
