We are fearfully and wonderfully made

Didi and I are the directors of the 14+ years age group for VBS at Biserica Harul.  Didi and I have had this age group for VBS the past two years, but that was during the month of June.  We usually have about 35-40 students and most of them  attend Biserica Harul.  But many of those young people are out of town for vacation.  Today, all of our students came from the placement center in the nearby village... 21 in all and they range in age from 14 years to 22+ years.

The OHC large team (including Didi) arrived!

Dean, Tom and I were so eager to meet the OHC large team at the airport.  On the way there I made a sign to welcome them as they arrived.  Unfortunately, the church van that we were riding in developed issues with the right front wheel and we had to pull over.  We were stranded for over an hour and never made it to the airport.  As a matter of fact, the bus pulled over and picked us up on the side of the road while they were on their way to Lugoj!  Everyone seems to happy and excited to be he...

Day 4

Breakfast meeting at 8:00am at Hotel Dacia.  At 9:00am we walked over to Grace Christian School for VBS with two classes of 3yr olds, totaling approximately 24 children.  We used pretty much the same format as on Wednesday and that worked well; however, we omitted the story and verses on Adam and Eve to accomodate their short attention spans.  We allowed the children to have "free play" for the last 40 minutes of the morning and went to the dining hall at 12:00pm.

March 9, 2019 - How's that for a Divine Appointment?

Our day started with a breakfast meeting at 7:30am.  We walked to Grace Christian School (GCS) at approximately 8:55am.  This was the first day we were availalbe to start Vacation Bible School (VBS) at GCS.  We worked with the kindergarden class.  We played Duck, Duck Goose and other games for recreation, we sang songs to Abbey's accompaniment on guitar.  Dorian told the story of Adam and Eve and I read Genesis 2:7-8 and 15-24 in Romanian.  We closed with crafts.
